Some Helpful Information: Casa La Aduana is exactly 2 miles off the main road to Alamos. The road although a dirt/gravel road and sometimes bumpy is passable year-around with a solid rock foundation. We are located 82 miles from the Airport at Cd. Obregon or 1.5 hrs. In Mexico, night-driving can be a harrowing experience the first time for many non-Mexicans. Loose animals are attracted by the retained heat of the highway at night. Cars and trucks may be missing headlights or brakelights. Drive defensively always. Mexicans are some of the most generous, helpful people to tourists in the world. They genuinely are good samaritans. Mexico is one of the safest countries in the world to visit. It is also a country with extremes of climate and geography. In our part of Mexico, the Sonoran Desert and Sierra Madre Occidental, the sun, even in winter, is very powerful. Always carry something to drink with you and drink more water than you normally would. Becoming dehydrated, even while riding in an air-conditioned car in winter, is very easy.
Although we invite and, indeed, enjoy families with children in our Restaurant, our Hotel, due to its intimacy and our desire to make your stay as peaceful and quiet as possible has a "no children" policy.
Accounts may be paid in cash or by personal check on U.S. or Mexican bank with picture ID. ATMs or Automated Tellers are available almost everywhere in Mexico. There is an ATM at the Banorte Bank in Alamos across from the Pemex Gas Station. In most cases ATMs give you the best rate of exchange. Here at Casa La Aduana we change US Dollars at $1.00 USD = $10 pesos.
We make every effort to make your stay here both pleasant and memorable. If you have any special dietary or other needs please let us know.
